Don’t Wait for Change, Be The Change

“Begin where you are. Don’t wait for someone else to change things for you. Do it yourself” —— Norman Vincent Pearl.

As an imperfect human being like you, I have never claimed to be perfect. I’m a work in progress. I have my strengths and I have my flaws just like every human being around us.

One of my weaknesses is impatience. I have this aching need to get great things done. I can’t stand slow  change.

Like every weakness, it has also being my greatest source of success. I just love speed. Only results matter to me.

Clint Eastwood said “Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better, you have to take things into your own hands”.

Take time to plan, collaborate, Delegate to others who have strength where you’re weak.  But sometimes, you just need to be the one to drive the change when everyone else is waiting for someone else to take the first step.

To me, that’s courage in Action. That’s using your life well. That’s Leadership.

Most people can think of the problems in Nigeria or their Jobs. But when it comes to providing solutions and being part of those to make things happen, they look away.

We give complains like “I can’t don’t to step of anyone’s toe” “I don’t want to make someone angry” while we sit there and hope someone else come to empower us.

Remember, nothing would ever change if you don’t change.
